Well, would you look at that?! Our small community got a nice shout out from Roadrunner Magazine. I LOVE that they recognized the employees at Poston's, the friendly neighbors who stopped by ... and our furry friend!

This time last week, Florian and I were sitting at Poston’s General Store in Stewart, OH, sipping coffee and munching on breakfast sandwiches. A stray cat the locals called Bill kept us company as we amused ourselves by imagining what kind of creatures might emerge from the dry cornfield

🎆 Our community ROCKS ... and rolls! Stewart's 1st Annual Fire in the Sky Celebration was a huge success thanks to all in our community who helped organize and ALL who showed up ❤️🤍💙. Our small town was rocking and rolling on Friday night with three musical acts hosted by the Rome Township Volunteer Fire Department, a patriotic "Walk and Roll Parade", games by The Old Lady Gang and FHHS girls' basketball, parking assistance by the Rome Township Trustees and SO MUCH MORE ...including a 15-minute fireworks display across the cornfield!

🎆As for Poston's, we were overwhelmed (literally) by the nearly 1000 revelers who descended upon our little town. We never had less than 20 in line, despite our best efforts to rock and roll, BUT ... NO ONE complained! People visited with neighbors and strangers in line, supported our AMAZING staff and made us laugh. This speaks VOLUMES about the kind of people who make up our local community.

🎆 Friday night ended late and after dark. Despite this, there was little to no trash littered in our community. The chairs, volleyball net, toys left overnight were untouched and waiting for their rightful owners in the morning.

🎆Poston's is SO PROUD to be part of this neck of the woods and look forward to a community that's really coming together. We now have a Farmer's Market each Monday at the FVRC and a conversion of our small town to a Hallmark worthy holiday display is already being planned.

It feels like Christmas around here ❤️🤍💙! The big day has finally arrived. Hope to see you all in Stewart this evening for the 1st Annual Fire in the Sky Celebration.

The Old Lady Gang has games, prizes and parade decorations for the kids at the community pavilion starting at 6:00. Music starts at 6:30, the parade at 9:00 and fireworks at 10.

Poston's kitchen will be open until 9:30 with a 4th of July menu of all the local favorites ... burgers, dogs, pulled pork and brisket and of course ICE CREAM! And remember ... 10% of all kitchen sales today will be donated back to the Federal Hocking High School football and volleyball teams.

The new Federal Hocking High School programs that will be receiving 10% of all kitchen sales in July and August for Federal Fridays at Poston's are the FOOTBALL and VOLLEYBALL teams🏉🏐🏉🏐. Stop by, grab something to eat and support our fall teams!

May and June's recipient, the FHHS Junior Class will be receiving a check for $1,027.50!
