Hey everybody, I'm having a frozen chicken sale this week! I have whole chickens ranging from 3 to 6 lbs and this week they're $3.50/lb. I also have packages of breasts, thighs and legs, and grill packs which will be discounted as well. Please let me know if you'd like to pick some up so we can set up a time.

For those who don't already know, I'm slowing down my business. I'm no longer selling eggs because the price of feed has been rising and my birds haven't been the most reliable layers these past couple years. I've been selling them and I'm down to only 26 birds which I hope to sell soon. I don't think I'll be raising any more meat birds this year either. I will still be raising laying pullets to sell once they're old enough to live outside.

I now have heritage breed laying pullets for sale. I have Ameraucanas (blue and green tinted egg layers) Barred Rocks, Road Island Reds and White Leghorns. These birds are a month old and are out on pasture. If you're looking to get into raising your own chickens, I'd be happy to help you get started with your flock and answer any questions you may have. These breeds are good egg layers and are cold hardy. The Barred Rocks and RIRs make great duel purpose birds and they're all great forages. They're $10 each and I have over 50 to choose from. If you'd like hens that are already laying, I have 15 month old Red S*x Link laying hens for sale. They're laying very well and they're $15 each.

If you're interested in raising your own meat birds, I have them for sale as well. They're Cornish Cross and they're already halfway to processing age. They'll be ready for processing in 2-4 weeks depending on how large you'd like them to dress out to, and if you're interested, I can refer you to a poultry processor. They're $8 each and I have over 100 available

I'm also taking pre-orders for baby rabbits! I have kits that are all black, all white, and black and white spotted. They'd make great pets, breeders or meat rabbits and their parents are quality breeders. They're $15 each and will be ready to go in about 3 weeks. Thanks!

I'm having a big egg sale this Saturday at my market! $3.00/doz or $4.00 for an 18 egg carton! If you'd like a larger amount we can discuss discounts for flats (30 eggs) or cases (10 doz). All of these same prices apply to duck eggs as well for this week. Think... Egg salad for the summer!

I will also have fresh chickens available within the next few weeks.

If you're looking into raising laying hens for yourself, here's your opportunity! I'm selling some of my one year old laying hens, which will have another two or three good years of laying left. I have around 30 left to choose from and I'm asking $15/bird. Please let me know if you're interested and I'd be happy to help you get started with you're own flock!

One of my rabbit does is due to give birth to her first litter in the next week. Once the babies are weaned I will be offering them for sale. They make great pets, meat or lawn mowers! My rabbits are a New Zealand, Satin cross, so they are sustainable producers of meat, great foragers and quick breeders, but are also very friendly and have extremely soft fur. They will be $15 each and I'm taking pre-orders.
