Sturgis and surrounding areas must elevate their standards. Sammi's Little Fresh Farm and Gifts recently launched their stand for the first time this year, only to have five to six pints of snacking tomatoes and six full-size tomatoes stolen within the first hour. This business is operated by two young entrepreneurs striving to save for their educational pursuits and personal expenses. A clearly posted price list and an honor box for payments were provided. Unfortunately, this incident is not an isolated event, as the owners have previously been taken advantage of with their self-service stand. The financial loss and emotional distress inflicted upon these young entrepreneurs are substantial. Their business has suffered significantly, and the disappointment caused to these teenage entrepreneurs, who aspire to contribute to their community, is disheartening for my wife and me. We are not seeking charitable donations but rather imploring the community to uphold honesty and refrain from theft. Our produce is offered at a discounted rate compared to store prices. We simply ask that you conduct yourself with integrity.
