Join us on Sunday Dec 14th for our annual toy pickup at the old deli property, now Valkryie Brunch House. Always referred to as "Toys for Tots", we are now calling it "Operation Toy Train".

The train arrives with Santa and his elves at 10:35 am. As usual we will have hot chocolate and candy canes to warm you up a little, Christmas music playing, picture opportunities, and you will be able to meet Dakota Rudolph and his crew from Valkryie Brunch House. You can check out and enjoy his delicious coffee, baked goods and yummy brunch selections, while waiting for Santa and the train to arrive.

Join us for another successful year of collecting new, unwrapped toys, while starting the season of giving off on the right foot..... with love and compassion for those less fortunate then ourselves.

Let's make this another great year of generous giving, meet up with old friends, make some new ones, all while enjoying the Christmas season.

I can't wait to see some of the friends I made while at the deli for so many years, I love and miss you guys!!!!

For all of you that wonder why Irish Soda Bread is named “soda”bread…..
I’ll be making more breads on Friday,for a few customers, so if you missed ordering them last week let me know and I’ll add you to the list this Friday.

Don't forget they are all homemade with the McKevitt family recipe, even my best Irish friends love my soda bread. Give it a try for $7.50 a loaf.

The cold is on its way out…. St Patrick’s Day is around the corner and so are my delicious Mckevitt Family recipe Irish Soda Breads. Time to start placing your orders!!
The typical loaf is with raisins and caraway seed. You can get one like that or without raisins or caraway or without both.

I am doing some research for a friend and looking for recommendations for a cleaning person. This needs to be a responsible and reliable housekeeper who can commit to house cleaning every other week on the same day/time of the week. It is a large home, with no pets or children, and will need at least 6-8 hours each time. Please send me a message via messenger, and I will pass the information on.

If you are still needing a Christmas tree, visit Wrights Family Farm on Kings Highway in Warwick. Not only do they have beautiful fresh trees, but they are reasonably priced and the Wrights are the nicest family you will meet. And those handsome young elves (men )will gladly help wrap the tree and tie it on your car roof so it gets home safely.

With a variety of shapes and sizes, you will surely find one that you love. I love my little Fraser Fir, fits perfectly in my corner.

Yesterday was Toys for Tots in SugarLoaf , at the old deli. Operation toy train has once again been a huge success, as it grows each year with more and more participants.
We collected 1378 toys this year at our stop alone. Thank you to the Chester Fire District, especially the Sugar Loaf Engine Co. they not only help organize the day, but provide the music which we all enjoyed.
Thanks goes out to the Florida Fire Department which helps organize as well and as always brings us lots and lots of toys that they have collected
Thank you to the Chester police Department, to The Knights motorcycle club( please forgive me if I got that wrong).
Thanks to Sharyn from Boces that collects for us , and to Preschool Solutions that collected for us.
Thanks to the girls from Preschool Solutions who helped me serve hot chocolate this year and to the property owner Ed, who graciously gave away donuts and cider and coffee.
What a wonderful community we have, thank you all for making this another huge success.
I apologize if I forgot to mention anyone, thank you , thank you, thank you!

Toys For Tots. December 15. Santa arrives as usual on the train with his elves and the Marines to collect new unwrapped toys.

Join us on the old deli property to wait for Santa and the train while listening to Christmas music and celebrating another year of giving to the unfortunate. It just makes you feel good, doesn’t it? And watch the smile on your child’s face, and his or her eyes light up when they see Santa climb off the train.
