Who's ready for Pick-Your-Own Sunflowers?? I know we are. We are just a short drive from Charles Town and Berryville.

We had some big equipment out to the farm, (at least compared to our Ford) to spread the chicken litter we had delivered recently. We’re hoping it helps us to grow big beautiful sunflowers for y’all to pick later this summer! Be thankful this post isn’t scratch ‘n sniff!

It's a busy time of year out at Ruff Life Farm! We did our first discing of the season to help reduce some of the weeds later in the year as well as prep for our field for our chicken litter delivery (short video upcoming)! Hope y'all enjoy the updates showing our process. We enjoy learning new aspects of farming and sharing our progress along the way. We've got more videos of bees coming soon as well!

Bee Install In 30 Seconds!

We got 3 new packages today and we are hoping to have a good honey harvest this year. People frequently wonder what is involved with beekeeping, so this is a short snapshot of starting a new hive. After they are installed, they get a top feeder full of sugar syrup to help jump start their wax building so they can start making even more bees! Hope y'all enjoy.

We hope everyone was able to get outside and enjoy this weather! Supervisor Lana made sure our new fruit trees were installed correctly and the bees are stretching their wings. Our favorite time of year is right around the corner! Get out and enjoy it before the next cold snap.
