ANNOUNCEMENT📢: Brady Social Enterprises is temporarily closing the Brady Market on August 15 while we explore different food models to more appropriately serve the community.

To initiate this new path, we will be working with community partners and neighbors to assess how our organization can best support community needs. We will provide opportunities for community input in the coming months. By coming together in this way, it is our hope that a better model will emerge that increases our impact and service in the community.

We will continue to provide 220 meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas through our partnership with 16 organizations in our neighborhood. Additional opportunities for food access abound and we will explore them together with our neighbors.

Brady Social Enterprises mission is to provide quality jobs and job training, offer healing modules through community support services and to increase food access. We accomplished all these goals since opening in 2021 and will continue to do so.

All in all, we employed 78 people at our store while providing our neighbors with fresh fruits and vegetables, a wide selection of meats, staple and bargain items and healthy hot and prepared meals. Alongside our community partners and neighbors, we plan to build on the last 4-years to create a new model that better serves our community.

Hiring Event: Next Steps Experience On the Job Training at Brady Market**

Are you looking for a chance to gain valuable skills, build your confidence, and kickstart your career? Do you live in or around the underserved communities of color in Syracuse, NY?

We're excited to announce that Brady Market is hosting an informational session for the Next Steps Experience Program, a unique job readiness program designed to help you achieve your goals and give you real life on the job training and experience.

**What's in it for you?**

* 6 months of paid service at $15 per hour (29 hours/week)
* A comprehensive curriculum covering:
+ Budgeting and financial literacy
+ Career exploration and college exploration
+ College tours and resume building
+ Job search strategies and interview prep
+ Opening your first banking account and setting up direct deposit

**Eligibility:**

* Must be between the ages of 18-24
* Must be out of high school or have dropped out of high school
* Priority consideration given to individuals who are currently unemployed or underemployed

**Assistance with GED and Certificates:**

* We understand that not everyone has a high school diploma. That's why we're committed to helping you obtain your GED and other industry-recognized certifications that will make you more marketable to employers!
