🐝🎨 FIRST ANNUAL TALIHINA FARMERS MARKET YOUTH ART CONTEST! 🎨🐝

Calling all young artists! Join us during the Talihina Farmers Market 6/27 Night Market! for a fun, hands-on art contest celebrating National Pollinator Week and the important role bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators play in growing our food.

🎨 Create your masterpiece on a design-your-own shopping bag at the market! All supplies are provided, and artwork must be completed and submitted that evening at the fundraising booth of Abundantly Blessed Inc with LFC - Faith Kidz Student Ministries who is graciously managing this kids activity!

• Judged by the Talihina Public Library
• Winners selected in each age group
• Prize: 3 oz local honey bear + $30 Market Bucks

• Prize: $20 Market Bucks
• Voting will take place June 30–July 3 on our page

• Ages 7–11 – Show 2 Pollinators
• Ages 12–17 – Show 4 Pollinators

🖼️ Artwork will be displayed at the TALIHINA PUBLIC LIBRARY through July 3.

Bring the kids, explore the market, meet local vendors, and show us how pollinators help flowers, gardens, and food grow!

Awards made possible through a grant from Double Up Oklahoma a program of Hunger Free Oklahoma. Use SNAP at the market and get matching dollar for dollar to use on produce up to $20/day.

This sounds amazing for a rainy day, can’t wait! True farm to fork food right here in our valley!

Come join us at La Figlia Italian Restaurant this evening or tomorrow evening (open Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 - 8:30pm) to enjoy all of the fresh veggies and herbs we just picked from our garden! Yummmmyyyyy!!!

Our “farm to table” special this week will be an Italian soup made with swiss chard, fresh herbs, pepperoni and salami!

UPDATE!!!! Since we are cancelling June 6 market, anyone scheduled to get a KATS ride to the market will be contacted to see if you can make it to June 20th market instead.

So now there is another date of June 20th available to get a FREE RIDE to the market! Call 539-737-5626 to book your spot and see you at the next market morning June 20th!

Bonus-- we should have Webbers Falls Sweet Corn that market!🌽

Future ride to market dates will be 7/18 and 9/19.

For the safety of our vendors and shoppers, we are CANCELLING tomorrow's market due to the severe weather forecasted with 90%+chance on various weather apps calling for flooding, wind gusts, lightning, even hail possible.

Along with Kopperhead Row pasture raised vaccine & antibiotic free ground angus USDA beef, they are also now debuting to the market organic fresh milled pasta!!!

We are so excited to have such healthy delicious food available in our little valley!! Come shop this Sat 6/7 8-11am at our temp location 604 2nd St!
