We opened our first ever farm store with a desire to continue our history of supporting our local community. Since opening, we’ve expanded from offering our own Kinloch Farm products to a curated market of goods from Virginian producers. Our store is located at the entry to rural Virginia, nestled within the fields our cattle graze, and just outside the historic town of The Plains. We carry a comp

lete inventory of cuts of our grassfed, grass-finished beef and other select products from our farm. We hope that you will stop by our store and continue on to visit the shops, restaurants, and attractions of our town and community. We also encourage you to come further support Virginia farmers on Sundays from 10am to 2pm when we share our location with the long-standing Archwood Green Barns Farmers’ Market.

Some of our bulls recently had their BSEs (Breeding Soundness Exams) up at our cattle sorting facility.

These exams determine our bull's ability to successfully mate with our cows and heifers to produce our calves.

BSEs must be conducted by an experienced veterinarian, and we thank Dr. Kiel J. Hausler, DVM of Rose Hill Veterinary Practice, P. C. Small Animal for being up to the task!

Unfortunately, the term "grassfed" is not fully regulated, and it may be used to describe beef from animals that are provided with grain and other industrial feeds, in a wide variety of operation and management styles.

Our cows have been moved across Hopewell Road in The Plains, VA. Their calves have been weaned and separated into their own herd, so now these hardworking moms get to relax and graze peacefully in the spring sunshine.

For the safety of cattle, staff, and drivers, we close the road and block it with vehicles. Polywire fencing is unrolled to guide our animals, which they recognize as a fence boundary. Plus, they know the way!

Thank you, Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, for your help with the move!
