Such a duo my mother and I. Mom is by my side every single day cutting out all of your leather bags while I sew. We have been working hand in hand at BL for almost 9 years this Saturday. Our workshop is our second home, no doubt about it.
Over the past nine years we have held a fashion show, ran an award winning BL Magazine for 3 years, (which I decided to fold when I opened ), made bags for thousands of people, shot countless photoshoots, planned amazing shoots with .stone.photography and our amazing models. We have been in 30+ retail stores all over the United States, been apart of a nationwide subscription box, been through 6 renovations and are about to start another one-possibly two.
I’m not writing this post to pat ourselves on the back-quite the contrary. It’s what we do. We love our job and we love creating and building NEW spaces. It’s ABSOLUTELY amazing that I get to say that I have done all of this with my parents and my closest friends by my side. Through the ups, the downs, the store closures, the heartaches and the celebrations.
Little did I know that 9 years ago I would be where we are today as a brand. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 9 years. Here’s to many many more! 🥂
