We want to publicly thank Peter for his work as the Children's Librarian at Three Rivers Public Library for the past 6 years. He has been crucial in making our partnerships work—collaborating on our Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Musical Storybooks, organizing StoryWalks at the Huss Project, coordinating a winter home for the Early Childhood Playgroup!, and deepening programming with TRAM Three Rivers Area Mentoring. We're so grateful for his dedication to developing a love of books and reading in our city's children. Thank you so very much!
So ... whoever comes next will have pretty big shoes to fill. But on the plus side, you'll have a lot of wonderful partners who want to help you succeed!
📚💜 A Bittersweet New Chapter at Three Rivers Public Library 💜📚
After 6 years of bringing stories, laughter, and memorable experiences to kids and families of our community, our amazing Children’s Librarian, Peter, will be retiring.
Peter has made such a lasting impact on Three Rivers Public Library and on the countless kids who have attended his story times, programs, and events over the years. His dedication, kindness, and passion for serving our youngest patrons have helped make the library a special place for so many families!!!
Just as importantly, Peter has been an incredibly valued member of our TRPL team. He has been dependable, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a hand. His experience, sense of humor, and genuine care for both our patrons and his coworkers have made him not only an outstanding Children’s Librarian, but also a wonderful employee and colleague. He will be greatly missed by all of us!!!
While we are incredibly happy for Peter as he begins this well-earned next chapter, we also know he leaves some very big shoes to fill!
We are looking for someone who loves working with children and families, enjoys creating fun and engaging programs, and wants to continue building a welcoming and exciting library experience for the children in our community.
