For this recipe, I made both high nutrient and low nutrient agar!

🔬 High Nutrient Agar 💧 700 mL Water 🧫 14 g Agar 🌾 11 g Light Malt Extract (LME) 🧬 0.7 g Soy Peptone

🔬 Low Nutrient Agar 💧 700 mL Water 🧫 14 g Agar 🌾 7 g Light Malt Extract (LME)

👨‍🔬 For this recipe, I mixed the ingredients into the water, heated until dissolved, added food coloring, and sterilized at 15 PSI for 30 minutes. I then allowed the media to cool to approximately 142°F (61°C) in large media bottles before pouring under a flow hood or sterile environment. Once condensation is gone, the plates were sealed with parafilm.
