Well, here we go.

Samuel Adams Octoberfest has officially arrived at Aeneas Valley Country Store—which means fall is coming whether any of us approved it or not.

This is one of those beers people wait all year for. It’s hearty, smooth, ridiculously popular—and available for a very limited time. We just received our first cases, but “seasonal” means exactly what it sounds like: when it’s gone, it’s gone.

And yes, we are officially the very best place in all of Aeneas Valley to buy Samuel Adams Oktoberfest.

Are we possibly also the only place? Completely irrelevant. Best is best.

Come grab yours before the locals who know better clean us out—and before you become the person saying, “I was going to stop tomorrow.”

❤️ AENEAS VALLEY COMMUNITY AT ITS BEST ❤️

Some things are more than just a project.

Quite a few years ago, this Aeneas Valley historical sign was donated to AVCS and displayed here for our community and visitors to enjoy. Over the years, the original log frame finally reached the end of its life.

That is where Lee Gillette and his beautiful family, Rachelle, Avery, Charlie and Waylon, stepped in.

Together, as a family, they took the sign, cleaned it, preserved it, built this absolutely gorgeous new log frame, and then came out and installed the entire thing.

And they did all of it free of charge.

This was simply their contribution to the community they call home.

I honestly cannot say enough about how beautiful their work is. The craftsmanship is stunning, but what means even more is knowing that this was something they chose to do together as a family.

They gave their time, their labor, their skills and a whole lot of care so that a piece of Aeneas Valley history can continue standing here for everyone to enjoy.

That sign will greet longtime residents, newcomers, families, travelers and future generations for many, many years to come. And now, part of the story behind it will always belong to the Gillette family too.

Lee, Rachelle, Avery, Charlie and Waylon, thank you. Truly.

Thank you for taking care of a piece of our valley’s history.

Thank you for giving your time so generously.

And thank you for showing exactly what makes a small community like ours so damn special.

Our crowd favorite, Wyatt, is behind the counter today at Aeneas Valley Country Store and ready to help you with whatever you need. Whether it’s snacks, drinks, groceries, fuel, or just a friendly face, he’s got you covered.

While you’re here, be sure to stop by and visit the NCW Libraries team set up right here in our parking lot! They’re helping with library cards, answering questions, and bringing library services out to the valley. They’ll only be here until around 2:00 PM, so don’t wait too long!

🌄 A Homecoming in Aeneas Valley! 🌄

Trinity Hightower Stucker will be at Aeneas Valley Country Store / Not Doug’s Country Kitchen & Espresso on Saturday, July 11th from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and we would love for you to stop by!

Come grab lunch, a shake, or a coffee, enjoy the beautiful mountain view, and take a few minutes to meet Trinity, visit, ask questions, and talk about the future of Okanogan County.

This stop is especially meaningful. Trinity grew up in Aeneas Valley, and the people, families, land, grit, and old-time homesteading spirit of the valley helped shape who she is today. Aeneas Valley is not just another campaign stop — it is home.

A big thank you to Doug and Rose Isler, who continually open their business and their hearts to the community by hosting events, fundraisers, and gatherings that bring families and neighbors together.

You asked… we kept making coffee.

Our bottled Not Doug’s Espresso drinks have been flying off the shelves, and we’re working as fast as we can to keep them stocked. As demand grows, we’ll keep growing right along with it.

This week we’re adding TWO incredible flavors:

• Mountain Berry White Chocolate Mocha – our newest signature blend. Sweet, smooth, and unlike anything you’ve tasted before.

• Toasted Marshmallow Mocha – imagine a marshmallow on a stick around a campfire with friends in a bottle. Rich chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and our house-made cold brew espresso. It’s ridiculously good.

Every bottle is made right here using our own Not Doug’s cold brew espresso, real milk, and premium flavoring. That’s it. No shortcuts.

Available exclusively at the Aeneas Valley Country Store, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, seven days a week.
