🌟 🌟 THANK YOU 🌟 🌟

I was reviewing my sales over the past 6 weeks and here are my estimated totals:

190 simmer pots sold! ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY, YA’LL!!!???!!!! 🤯🤯 WOW.

28 bars of soap sold! 🤩

Approximately 80 jars of jam sold! 🤩

I am mind-blown! THANK YOU to everyone who ordered from me and/or shared my posts during this holiday season! I do not do this to make money, but because it challenges me to learn something new and keeps me busy during the colder months.

I’ve got a few ideas brewing for the winter and into spring. Then hopefully I’ll have some traditional produce options AND some specialty produce items for the summer! Stay tuned!

I will have The Stand out today (Dec. 24th) from 10am-dark for last minute gifts and pick-up orders.

Only 2 simmer pots left!!! 🙌🏼

I still have soaps (spicy pear oatmeal, falling snowflake, and NEW charcoal h**p eucalyptus).

I still have jams (chocolate cherry, and a few strawberry and peach).

Watch me unmold the eucalyptus h**p with charcoal soap bars.

I have had ZERO problems for the past month selling out of my stand. But I had a customer take 2 simmer pot bags they did not pay for today. With all my holiday spirit, I hope those extra simmer pot bags bring them joy. 🎅🏽

🌾 Why I Don’t Sell Pet Treats?

Kansas Cottage Food Law applies only to foods for people. Pet food and pet treats are regulated by the Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Commercial Feed Program, and pet food or treats are highly regulated.

To sell pet treats legally, each product must be registered, labeled with guaranteed analysis, and produced according to commercial feed regulations. Home kitchens are not allowed for this type of production.

Because of these rules, pet treats cannot be sold as cottage foods in Kansas — even those cute, simple baked dog biscuits.

🌾 Why Do Other Vendors Sometimes Sell Prohibited Items?

1. The vendor might have Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) Food License and use a commercial kitchen OR have had their items officially tested and approved through the Kansas Added Value Foods Lab.

2. The vendor is following outdated or incorrect information. Kansas regulations have been updated several times. Some people rely on old internet posts or hearsay.

3. The vendor does not know the regulations (or simply chooses to ignore them). However, these vendors should know the KDA performs random inspections and takes complaints from consumers on their website.
