Third Coast Fruit Co.

Third Coast Fruit Co. Great Fruit. Always Fresh. A family-run farm over six generations, now opening a summer sweet cherry u-pick to share our local, homegrown fruit!

Located just a few minutes north of TC on the Old Mission Peninsula. Our family started the business in the 1930’s on the Old Mission Peninsula, and is run by sixth generation farmers and siblings Isaiah and Adele Wunsch, as well as their childhood friend Raul Gomez. Parents Josh and Barb Wunsch are teaching them how manage the farm. The Wunsch family is deeply committed to growing high quality fr

uit for our neighbors across the upper Midwest. As fruit growers on the shores of Lake Michigan, we take care to treat the land with respect and to protect our farmland for future generations. We have worked with our local land conservancy to permanently keep our land in agricultural, protecting many of Michigan’s most scenic vistas in perpetuity. We also know that protected farmland needs to be maintained through environmentally sustainable farming practices, and are participants in Michigan’s voluntary environmental verification program, which seeks to ensure that farming practices cause no harm to our soil or water resources. Our farms are verified both through the program’s cropping verification, as well as its broader farmstead verification. We also take pride in being the employer of choice for our long term farm employees. Many of our staff have been with us longer than our current generation of managers have been alive. In addition to providing fair compensation and a great work environment for our staff, we are also in the process of establishing an academic scholarship fund exclusively for the children of our employees.
