Betty's Vegetables

Betty's Vegetables Small vegetable local, "seasonal" vegetable stand. We grow all of our own vegetables and provide the excess to the public. The stand is a semi-self serve.

As soon as the asparagus starts in the spring until there is nothing left in autumn. Not everything is available at all times. As we grow everything here, things are seasonal and some things don't grow all of the time. Such as - potatoes are not available in the spring for instance. But if vegetables are ready, we pick in the mornings and throughout the day and stock the stand. Flowers are picked

in the mornings and fresh daily when available. If you have a specific need, for instance want flowers for an occasion please try to give us a day or 2 notice. OR if you need a certain amount of pickling cucumbers and don't see them in a cooler, please ask a few days before you want them so we can start getting them ready. We keep everything that is perishable in coolers with ice so that everything is kept relatively cool and fresh. We are fairly busy daily getting things ready for the stand, picking or doing gardening so if you don't see us, there is a self-serve system at the stand. BUT we do try to get out if we see people.

We made it through the rain last night but the wind storm damaged our canopy. SO - we're open and re-set up. You just won't see the canopy until the new one comes from La Crosse.

We've got plenty of jams, jellies, and canned goods. The radishes, green onions, lettuce spinach and a few other things are coming in.
We also have garlic scapes.

Oh yes, and plenty of honey and maple syrup. The bees are working hard for the honey and the trees produced quite well this spring for great syrup.
