Made a squash casserole from squash I canned this summer. It was delicious! The squash looks so fresh! Here is the recipe. I had drained the liquid off this jar before I took the picture.
Zucchini, yelow squash for stewing and frying! I found a recipe as follows:
9 cups water
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
Heat until a simmer.
Add 1/2 tsp canning/pickling salt in each pint jar or 1 tsp tsp for quarts. I also use 1/8 t pickle crisp for pts and ¼ t pickle crisp for qts.
Pour hot mixture In jar.
Water bath for 15 minutes.
