When you are looking to buy a pig to raise or buy a pig from someone to fill your freezer make sure you know what what you are buying. Here are 2 pork chops from pigs that had a similar hang weight but will have completely different take home yields. The owner who bought the Kunekune had no idea what they were buying and thought all pigs were similar.

No it’s not anything to do with meat but it is relating to the most important question you will ever answer who is Jesus to you, was He just a guy in history or is He your savior? Big News, Buckeye Surf & Turf is now part of the Cooperative Interstate Shipment (CIS) Program! Thank you so much to our ODA meat inspectors for helping us get to this point! So what does that mean for you…… We are now Federally inspected so any meat we cut can now be transported and sold outside of state lines. In order to get into this program we went through months of paperwork and inspections, and this program demands that our facility operates at the highest level from paperwork and records to the quality and safety of products leaving. The pictures represent the growth we have gone through starting as a custom shop with NOT FOR SALE LABELS, then going under STATE INSPECTION and now transitioning to FEDERAL INSPECTION.
