We, the Barnstead Pantry family, would like to take this opportunity to pause and honor all of our fallen sisters and brothers who gave all, so that our country might remain the land of the free.

Let us not forget their sacrifice, and commit ourselves to continuing in that quest, in whatever manner we can.

As a veteran myself, I say "Fair winds, and following seas".

Good Friday morning Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.

Rain for the Memorial Day Weekend. So what's new!

As you know, we are proud to carry items which are locally made, and work diligently to bring you the best we can find.

While we continue to carry favorites from folks like Milky Way, Maple Hollow, Wayside Maple, Mill Street Treats, Drapers, Wilcox Honeyand many others, we have added to our list of locally produced items.

Stop in and check out what we have in the way of local items.

We are also running a special on some of our Mrs. Wages canning seasonings. 25% off the labeled price, while supplies last.

We were saddened this morning, to learn of the passing of our friend Jack from Armenia Mountain Footwear. He was a kind and decent man, who seemed to always make us feel better when we were around him. He was an important part of the Troy community, and will be missed by all. We were blessed to have known him.
Our prayers got out to Jenn, the rest of his family, the staff of Armenia Mountain Footwear, and all who loved him.

Rest in Peace, good and faithful servant.

Good Tuesday morning Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.

What's deal with two days of sunshine in a row?

If your looking for a small gift fir someone, here is an idea. MB just put togethet these two "Snack Stacks" for a customer. While we can still put together a gift basket, a stack can save you the cost of a gift box, and still look GREAT!

It helps us to have a day or so of lead time when you order, but stop in, or call, and we will do our best to have it trady for you.

Soon after we opened, on this rainy Saturday morning, a young man came in with his little 2 year-old child. He was gentle, so kind, and seemed to enjoy shopping with a 2 year old, who pushed her cart, and offered suggestions for purchases. His patience was a wonderful example of being a great dad.

When they came to the counter, I thanked him for shopping with us, and remarked upon his obvious love and skill at being a parent. He thanked me, and then he asked me how I was doing. He thanked me for having this little store, and said that he hoped that we stuck around.

It is times like this that bring joy to MB and myself. It why we love interacting with you when you come in. Our team is here to make your experience positive. It is why we so often begin our posts with..."Good Morning Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends "!

And we are definitely going to "stick around".

Good Friday morning, Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.
Yesterday we posted about our sale this weekend on all items labeled Organic. Well, do you love chocolate? The sale includes the Organic Chocolate on our front counter. The level of Cocao rangers from 67% (moderate) to 92% (Total Eclipse). Yumski

We also worked to make the Spice Hut more user friendly. All of the bulk spices are together (in alphabetical order) and the "Name Brand" spices are together in the "Hut". If you can't find something, we will help you out.

Good Thursday morning Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends!

Has it really been two weeks, since we last posted? I have promised Mary Beth that I will do better.

This weekends SPECIAL! From now through SATURDAY, any item labeled ORGANIC is 10% off.
That includes flour, snacks, and even peanut butter.

We will also be posting specials on our chalkboard outside, and on the shelf in front, as you walk in.

Good Friday morning, Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.

It's going to be a bit rainy tomorrow, so it will be a good day to stop in and see us. MB has done a great job on the Baking Area, and we are working on the "main" room.

As you come in, the front display has a numbet of items at 50% off. We have also been able to reduce the price of the following items:

Milk Chocolate Buckeyes
Peanut Butter Minkey Munch Snack Mix
Chocolate Coated Mini Pretzels
Dark Rye Flour.

Anna Dunbar, from Maple Hollow Products will be here later today to re-stock us for the weekend. We're going to try to attend their program on "Ramps" this coming Wednesday. Maybe we will see you there.

Good Saturday afternoon Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.

Again, our customers have spoken, and we have listened. Mary Beth, Mary, and Lily have been hard at work re-setting the baking area. (RP not so much!). One spot for most of your baking needs.

We have also made room to bring in more bulk items such as rice, beans, and pasta. If you are looking for larger quantities, let us know. They may be on theshelf OR we may be able to being them in for you. Our orders go in Monday and are generally here Thursday. Ask us about bulk buying!

Good Friday Morning, Barnstead Pantry Family and Friends.
What a beautiful Spring Morning it has been.

As promised, we listen to our Customers. One thing we heard is that having the baking flour in two places is confusing.
To remedy that, we will be moving all of the flour back into what we were calling the Healthy Hut. In order to make room. the many pasta items will be brought into the main room again. We hope that this change will make your shopping experience less stressful.
