The Market is struggling right now with very sad news from Thunder Mountain Curry. Michael Meade had a serious accident at home Friday. He has been in Albany Med since Saturday morning with complications from a fall and had surgery yesterday to relieve pressure on his spinal cord. He is partially paralyzed in his legs and more severely in his arms. He will require 18 months of therapy.

Over the years we have all come to know the two Mikes. While Mike Gorden is firing up pans, tossing pad thai and stir-fried vegetables around and clanging woks, Michael Meade has been the quiet foundation that keeps the booth in order and the food flowing! They have worked together for 18 years!

Mike will continue operating TMC with help as best as he can and we hope to see him at the Market very soon. But for all of us it will be tough to see that Michael is missing in action and we hope for a speedy recovery Keep Michael in your thoughts! Let’s show him how much the Market community appreciates him.
