Meet our May Moonie of the Month, Serena! ✨

Serena is a Market Staff member at our Tahoe City store! “Serena has been extra helpful picking up and covering shifts in the past month and is a very grounded calm person in all situations.” - Tammy, TC Manager

Some fun facts about Serena:

• Where are you originally from and what brought you to Tahoe?

🏠 I am originally from San Luis Obispo, California. I have always loved Tahoe, being in the mountains, skiing, backpacking, and hiking, so it was a no brainer when my mom took a job at Tahoe Lake Elementary School that I decided to follow her.

• What’s something about you that most people don’t know?

🥾 I lived in Europe for eight months last summer and can speak German. I also walked over a hundred miles on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

• What do you like do when you aren’t working?

⛷️ I love skiing, backpacking, hiking, and running. I basically love anything outdoors. My favorite thing though is traveling and I hope to travel all around the world one day.

• What do you enjoy most about working here at New Moon Natural Foods?

💕 My favorite part about New Moon is the community. I love getting to know the customers but also all my coworkers too. I have never experienced such an amazing group of people.

• If you could possess one superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?

🦸‍♀️ If I could possess one superpower it would be to fly so I could travel the world, experience every culture, see all seven wonders of the world, and climb the highest peaks on every continent.

• What is your favorite product in the store and why?

🍎 My favorite product in the store is the Ground Up Snickerdoodle Almond butter. I love to pair it with apple slices, banana, or a piece of gluten free.
