Forbes Meat Company had a team meeting with the bosses of Forbes at The U of A meat science lab where we have our beef harvested.

It’s was a great opportunity to show a few of my teammates how the butchers do what they do.

Then we had a meeting to discuss our culture and work on our team training standards. I love what this crew is putting together.

Check out this 2000 pound beef that weighed in at 1400 pounds after it was skinned and gutted. The brisket in this Wagyu is absolutely enormous.

Meat, Seafood, Beer, Wine, Cheese, Charcuterie, and lots of other reasons to hit up Forbes. Check out the expansion it’s almost done The tastiest weekend is just a few days away. Graduations are coming to an end but we have one more big celebration weekend before the summer hits. It’s Memorial Day weekend and we’re celebrating with LOBSTER ROLLS, poke, and lots of amazing grilling meat and seafood.

Sausages, steak on sticks, burgers, hot dogs, Porterhouses, Rib Eyes, hangers, flat irons, tri tips and more.

If Ben has time he might smoke some briskets and ribs too.

We also have pork butts, ribs, and lots of great fresh chicken.

The stress factor is incredibly high and some days are worse than others. If you’ve been following this journey for the last few years, you’ve heard me share that a question I’ve asked myself often but I find myself asking less often these days and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not, “is what the f**k am I doing”?

Though I ask that question a little bit less lately and while that might scare me a little, I do trust that even though I don’t know what I’m doing because I question myself and the decisions that I make big and small I know can make or brake us to a degree, I have grown in confidence because the results are in and we see growth daily regardless of the errors.

However, yesterday‘s results are only achievable today if we pursue our goal with the same passion and consistency that we did every day for the last 10 years. Yesterday‘s success will not make me successful today. Tomorrow I have to get up and put in the same work if not even more work.

We want to get better and I appreciate everybody who has helped us get to where we are today and we know that tomorrow you’ll be there for us not just because it’s a lobster roll weekend but because you know that we’re gonna make a huge effort to make each experience every day better than the last.

Kiss the fish it’s lobster all weekend, ladies and gentlemen.
