Holt Franklin Maley arrived 6:33pm Arizona time last Sunday August 31, 7 lbs. 14oz and we flew to Phoenix for his birth. Join us next week starting Tuesday when we reopen for lunch and add “Holt” to the menu 🙌✈️☀️👶😻🍻🎨

One of the things that keeps our job interesting is the chance to work in great locations around town. Last night was no exception as we were privileged once again to help with another President’s Circle dinner for The Radford Group, this year at Leon’s Church Studio! Many thanks to Britt, Ann & Robert for the chance to help! If you haven’t been, the place is fascinating and open for tours. Thanks to all of you that came by for gallery hours last Thursday evening! We had a nice turnout and a lot of fun. Special thanks to those who’ve entered to win our “Horse & Flowers” painting raffle! The drawing is scheduled for september 18 (918 day), so there’s still time to get by and enter! Tickets are 10$ each and entrants who purchase multiples will receive a 3x3 custom sticker of the piece! Recently I became acquainted with a friendly fellow that came by the shop fresh from a Ford’s haircut down the sidewalk, who said he had noticed the art, that his wife had started doing art during the pandemic, and that he wanted to bring her back by so that we could meet. Shown here are mixed media assemblages by Tulsa artist Amy Lipperd, now on display at The Palate for a limited time. You are invited to come by and engage with these pieces in person and find out more about Amy’s work, which challenges the viewer to think about objects in their own lives and how they spark a memory, whether good or bad, and how the practice of making the thing out of those memories serves the past, gives hope for an optimistic future, and reminds us to keep rooted in the present. Thanks for looking!
