Wanted to do an appreciation post. Thank you to Scott and Jen Smith, the owners of CVHHO, for not only the hydrogenated well water used to grow our Microgreens, but for also getting us connected with Falcons Lair and other possible clients! Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are.

The microgreens are all grown with the Sprouts Water from CVHHO. I’ve noticed that the vibrance, taste and shelf life of these greens are lasting longer with the hydrogenated water vs any other waters I have tried. If you are interested in what they can do for you, please go check them out!

If you are interested in buying Microgreens, please contact me. We have many different varieties, (salad mixes, radish, kale, broccoli, cilantro, and many more).

Prices:
2 ounces, it is $5;
for 4 ounces (about half a tray) is $10;
and for 8 ounces (about a full tray) it is $20
(note cilantro prices differ due to longer growth times)

All greens are made to order. Once an order is placed I will start the growing process. Most greens (with the exception of cilantro) are ready within 5-7 days.

I wanted to share my ongoing experiments with the 5 part salad mix sprouts.

As stated in an earlier post, I am running some experiments on different waters and their effects on the growth of these greens. Each tray has the same amount of seeds started (1 tablespoon). Only differences: water and start date.

The hypothesis: Charged H2O will decrease growth times by 1-2 days (meaning they will mature faster) and result in larger plant yeilds.

The results:
From left to right:
Day 6: 2/26; Fed with purified drinking water; end weight: 1.48oz
Day 8: 2/28; fed with well H2O that lost some of its charge (days after charge ranged from day 4 after opening to day 7); end weight: 1.13oz
Day 10: 3/1; fed with charged well H2O(+) each glass bottle used was opened right before watering therefore it had the highest charge possible; end weight: 1.16oz

Conclusions:
Upon inspecting these greens their maturity looks about the same, despite having been started at different dates. Their weight, however, does not support the hypothesis. This could be due to their average growth times not being consistent with the 7 day average growth time I followed.
Note: sprouts had 24hrs to air dry after their last rinse before being weighed
Note 2: Plant growth rates are based on an average 7 day maturity rate for growth. Day 6 had two extra days for maturity, day 8 was at the day 7 mark and day 10 was at day 6 of growth (harvested one day prior to the average).

Again, a big shout out to Central Valley HHO for allowing me to use their water for this experiment.

The results:
From left to right:
Day 6: 2/26; Fed with purified drinking water; end weight: 1.45
Day 8: 2/28; fed with well H2O that lost some of its charge (days after charge ranged from day 4 after opening to day 7); end weight: 1.41
Day 10: 3/1; fed with charged well H2O(+) each glass bottle used was opened right before watering therefore it had the highest charge possible; end weight: 1.45

Conclusions:
Upon inspecting these greens their maturity looks about the same, despite having been started at different dates. Their weight does indicate and follow the hypothesis that the charged water will result in reduced growth times. However it does not follow the increase in yield with the reduced growth time. It did produce the same yield however.

Stay tuned because I will have more results of different greens using charged h2o vs other waters.

The hypothesis: Charged H2O will decrease growth times by 1-2 days (meaning they will mature faster) and result in larger plant yeilds.

The results:
From left to right:
Day 6: 2/26; Fed with purified drinking water; end weight: 1.52
Day 8: 2/28; fed with well H2O that lost some of its charge (days after charge ranged from day 4 after opening to day 7); end weight: 1.45
Day 10: 3/1; fed with charged well H2O(+) each glass bottle used was opened right before watering therefore it had the highest charge possible; end weight: 1.48

Conclusions:
Upon inspecting these greens their maturity looks about the same, despite having been started at different dates. There is some weight difference and it doesn’t follow the expected trend. I am unsure if this is due to lentils having a different maturity rate (as with the rest of the greens, I based these off of a 7 day growth time, where day 7 was considered mature). Regardless, they aren’t far off from each other in weight, which once again shows that H2O+ does decrease the amount of time for maturity.

Micro greens vs sprouts

They are similar with many of the same health benefits just grown differently.

Microgreens:
-usually grown in a medium
-not directly soaked in water
-intermediate stage between sprout and baby greens
-takes about 7-14 days to grow
-have first true leaves
-harvested usually 2-3 inches tall

Sprouts:
-beginning of growth
-seed, root and stem can be eaten
-takes 2-4 days of growth AFTER germination
-soaked in water
-rinsed consistently

Three sets of radish sprouts were ready yesterday and I wanted to share with you what I am observing.

As stated earlier in a post, I am running some experiments on different waters and their effects on the growth of these greens. Each tray has the same amount of seeds started (1 tablespoon). Only differences: water and start date.

The hypothesis: Charged H2O will decrease growth times by 1-2 days (meaning they will mature faster) and result in larger plant yeilds.

The results:
From left to right:
Batch 6: 2/26; Fed with purified drinking water; end weight: 1.13 oz
Batch 8: 2/28; fed with well H2O that lost some of its charge (days after charge ranged from day 4 after opening to day 7); end weight: 1.90 oz
Batch 10: 3/1; fed with charged well H2O(+) each glass bottle used was opened right before watering therefore it had the highest charge possible; end weight: 2.01

Conclusions:
Upon inspecting these greens their maturity looks about the same, despite having been started at different dates. Also, when weighed their weights indicate that the charged water does play a factor in growth rate and yield.

Did you know that broccoli Microgreens have an abundance of vitamin A and C? As well as iron, calcium, fiber and more? They also have sulforaphane, which is believed to help fight against CANCER, diabetes and aging.
Eating Microgreens, as opposed to their mature counterparts, gives you more nutrients.
You can eat them as is, sprinkle over dishes or cook with them.
If you are interested in purchasing some, message me. I have four full trays ready to go!
