Great Falls Farmers Market The Great Falls Farmers Market runs Saturdays from May thru October from 9-1pm at Peskeompskut Park. SNAP and HIP are welcome. Thanks!

The Great Falls Farmers Market is held every Saturday, (May-October) ar Peskeomskut Park, in historic downtown Turners Falls. Vendors may change weekly and include local: meats, in-season produce, flowers, soaps, crafts, jewelry, breads, baked goods and much much more! We are in Peskeompskut park today until 1:00 pm with seasonal produce, spoon jewelry, handmade cards, maple syrup, honey, eggs, and more. Jera is setting up with coffee and the MA Gardners are preparing for soil testing. The library will be here at 10 with a craft and free books for kids.

We will be back in the park tomorrow, Saturday Sept, 12th from 9-1 with seasonal produce (apples, peppers, potatoes, squash, corn, and so much more!), jam, maple syrup, artisans, coffee, community groups and more.

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM the Western Massachusetts Master Gardener Association will be offering low cost ($2) soil testing to arm you with the info you need as you begin preparations to put your garden to sleep for the winter. While you talk with the gardeners we will also have our friends from the montaguepubliclibraries in the park with free children’s books, library cards, fun stuff from the Library of Things, and a craft for kids. And for the adults, Jera mobile foods will be onsite with coffee (an indigo Italian roast) to purchase and enjoy from a local roaster in Florence. Gail will also have pre-portioned red beans and rice to take home to heat for lunch or dinner.

We are considering hosting two indoor winter farmers markets this year!

The dates for these proposed markets will be:

November 14th
December 12th

You do not need to apply to attend both markets, single date applications are accepted. The markets will run from 9AM-1PM with set up starting at 8:00 AM. A $10 vendor fee will be collected from vendors at the end of each of the markets.

Did you know that the best time to test your garden soil is in the fall!? Soil testing in the fall allows you the time to improve the soil for the next planting season.

Join us on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12: 00 PM with the Western Massachusetts Master Gardener Association. The association will be offering low cost soil testing to arm you with the info you need as you begin preparations to put your garden to sleep for the winter.

We will be in Peskeompskut Park from 9 AM to 1 PM tomorrow, Saturday, September 5!

As we move toward fall, the market welcomes new vendors and says goodbye to some of our summer friends. Tomorrow, we wish Kingsbury Farms farewell as he shifts into fall and Christmas tree time. But, we welcome the Franklin County YMCA who will be bringing all the info about current activities at the Y.

We will also have have seasonal produce, maple, beef and pork, and other farm goodies from Dan’s Veggies and Poplar Mountain Maple, PK Industries, Sleepy Owl, and Kingsbury Farms. Sleepy Owl will also be bringing hot and cold coffee, fresh cider donuts, cinnamon rolls, hot elderberry chai, and more from her bakery.

We will also have Marianne and her jam, New Worlds Garden with soaps, bug spray, and more, as well as, Nancy’s Bright And Shiny spoon jewelry, Teacup and other creations from Tina, sustainable woven goods from Hawksong Weaving, DIY bracelet kits and bracelets from the Crafty Queens, and Jewelry (and More) from Patty.

The Village Project will be in the park with community info and more and the Montague Reporter will be there with the news and fundraising items.

Our adult vendors are set up with artisan items(jewelry, woven items, spoon rings and more), seasonal local produce, maple products, jam, eggs, and more. Starting at 10 we will the Nest free baby and kids clothing, a dance party from 10:15-11, kids vendors starting at 11 (some earlier) and the Village Project.
