The Maran chicks we got in September are just starting to lay eggs. We chose them because of the dark brown egg shell color to mix in with our light brown, olive and blue eggs. (And because we got them at 50 cents each) This is the second Maran egg this week and we have 12 new hens. If breed standards are met, we should get 3-4 dozen dark eggs per week once spring laying season is in full swing! Our farm yard will be filled with “egg songs” before we know it!!!

All squash 4/$1. I’d estimate we have around 100 of them to sell from our stand at 7364 Ewing Rd TL. It was a great year for the squash harvest!
