π Shout out to our team for doing a great job the past few days in the store after I sustained a copperhead bite and have been instructed to keep my foot elevated! Despite that I am back on the scooter and will be in the store tomorrow! On the night of the snake bite while in the ER my meal choice was a Southwest Queso bowl from Project LeanNationπ₯ Shout out to the nurse for heating up my dinner in 4 1/2 minutesπ

πWas moved to the ICU yesterday morning. IV of morphine running into my vein. Long story short, I stepped on a Copperhead Snake barefoot and he gave me everything he had. I was coming back from my garage to the house in complete darkness walking across concrete. Felt unlike anything I've experienced before which prompted me to pull my phone out and turn the light on to see what it was. Then I saw the two holes with blood coming out of the side of my foot. People have asked if I killed it, not really on the top of the priority list when you are now focused on getting to the ER as fast as possible.
People have asked what does it feel like. I would say if you've ever been stung by wasp or yellowjacket it is that times 10 and it is nonstop with a burning sensation as a cherry on top. Was in the ER from 10 PM last until 7 AM Saturday morning and Lindy nor myself got one second of sleep. She insisted on staying in the room, although there was no bed. Got anti-venom at 2am. Then they moved me to the ICU where they monitored me.
Part of the reason I'm making this post is to also make everyone aware! Early September is right in the window when you can encounter newborn/juvenile copperheads in East Texas!
Also, while I have your attention, just remember this Saturday is our three year anniversary and we are offering 25% off shakes and we have many awesome raffle prizes from local businesses and you can win great prizes! We also have 15 spots left for $15 off every box of meals for new members! That's the best deal we can offer!
