Deer Season starts next Saturday and we are starting our customer list who want a deer. This is for those who can’t or don’t hunt but love deer meat. We have hunters who need to remove more deer than they have room for or need for. We call you when a deer is dropped off and get how you want it processed. Our processing fee with skinning, gutting and disposal is 140.00 . That includes sausage and burger as well as all other cuts. It excludes jerky cooked. Call today or pm to get on the list.

Look who spoke at today’s Deer Seminar ! Oglethorpe Feed and Seed went all out. They drew for an 800.00 deer blind, a deer stand, several food plot mixes, rack grower, scent hider. We also gave away a free deer processing. Andy and Maddison Nimmons each gave a mount certificate to two lucky people drawn. Hunting trips were given. If you were not one of the 80 or so there you missed out. Hunting wisdom was given and stories were told. Let the season begin!

We’re onto something new. Last year we saved deer fat and we have made soap from it. This works well for hunters because it hides the human scent. We have tried it ourselves for a couple of months and love it for its cleaning properties alone. We personally can’t smell anything in it and when we perspire it’s not smelly anymore. Try some out and see what you think.
