🐔 Here we go again...
Every year somebody tells me:
"Those Cornish Cross birds just eat."
"They ain't real chickens."
"They spend all day at the feeder."
"They don't know how to forage."
"They can't be pasture raised."
Well... somebody forgot to tell ours. 😂
Our birds spend their days on fresh pasture, chasing bugs, scratching through grass, and soaking up Tennessee sunshine.
Sure, they still eat like teenage boys after football practice... but that's kind of the point.
At the end of the day, I ain't raising chickens for beauty contests.
I'm raising them for the dinner table.
And after all the years we've been doing this, one thing remains true:
Folks may argue about breeds...
Folks may argue about feed...
Folks may argue about methods...
But I've never met anybody who took home one of our pasture-raised chickens and said:
"Yep... that's the worst chicken I ever ate."
Matter of fact, most folks ruin grocery store chicken forever after trying one. 😎
Stay tuned. The next batch of HillJack poultry is on the way.
🐔 Raised on pasture.
🌱 Raised with purpose.
🍗 Quite possibly the best chicken you've ever eaten.
