Abby’s birthday was Tuesday, so naturally her birthday dinner had to include a few Buck’s favorites🎉

On the plate: fresh Buck’s sweet corn, smashed Yukon potatoes, and brown sugar dry rub ribs — because candles are cute, but buttered sweet corn is the real birthday wish🌽😉

We’re kicking off our new series with a birthday spotlight! 🎉

Meet Abby, one of our new workers this season and the birthday girl today! We’re so happy to have her as part of the Buck’s crew, helping around the stand and learning all the little things that make Buck’s feel like Buck’s👩‍🌾

A fun fact about Abby: when she was little, she would ask restaurants to swap the side of fries that came with her meal for a side of broccoli🥦 Honestly, a true produce girl from the start!

And her favorite thing from Buck’s? Our watermelon, of course!🍉😋

It’s one of those summer favorites that’s easy to throw together, perfect when you need a last-minute dish to bring to the cookout, and somehow even better as leftovers for a quick lunch after a summer day outside🌞

Not exactly the quiet summer night anyone had in mind. ⛈️☔️ After the storms rolled through, we know a lot of people in Alsip and nearby towns are without power, cleaning up branches, and dealing with whatever comes. We hope everyone is safe, taking it one step at a time, and getting through it okay! 💚

Buck’s is open today with plenty of grill-out favorites — especially if your kitchen is out of commission. Sweet corn, peppers, potatoes, and more are ready for a simple summer meal outside. 🌽🍅🫑🥔🍉🍒

We put together a few grill ideas because after the week of storms we’ve had, dinner should be the easy part — no stress, no power needed, just fresh food and a beautiful weekend to get outside🌞
