I am constantly in awe of everything our local small farms do every day. They are raising the next generation to take care of the Earth!

Did you know Parker has approximately One Million honey bees working daily on our farm? The vast majority of cucurbits (including squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, cantaloupes, and watermelons) require insect pollination to produce fruit. Late May and early June is a critical time for pollination of our mid summer crops.

Yes, I will be at the Riverside pop up market this coming Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. promise I’ll post tomorrow with everything I’ll be bringing. What’s something you’d like to see on the menu? I have more flexibility with the Tuesday market because it’s not the massive baking marathon I do for Saturdays. I’m thinking maybe bring back the baguettes, more bagels? Just let me know your thoughts!

Nothing says Hello Summer like fresh strawberry jam! It might not feel like summer today, but we have the jam, as well as pickled beets and our fresh ground horseradish, kale, arugula, radishes, leeks and strawberries by the pint! We will be at The Onancock Market this morning regardless of the rain! Look forward to seeing you all there!
