WYOMING โ CHECK ON YOUR PEOPLE.
September is Su***de Prevention Month.
Local First spends a lot of time talking about supporting the people behind our local businesses.
But supporting local has to mean more than where we spend our dollars.
It means supporting people.
The business owner who hasn't had a day off in weeks.
The rancher carrying more than anyone realizes.
The waitress who still smiles when she brings your coffee.
The veteran who tells everyone they're fine.
The teenager who suddenly got really quiet.
The friend who keeps canceling plans.
The person who is always checking on everyone else.
Sometimes the people who look like they're handling everything are carrying the most.
So here's my challenge for Wyoming this month:
Pick ONE person today.
Call them.
Grab coffee.
Sit on a tailgate.
Take a drive.
Invite them to dinner.
And don't just ask, โHow are you?โ
Ask:
โHow are you, really?โ
Then give them enough time to answer.
We talk a lot about what makes Wyoming special.
It's not just the mountains, small towns, ranches or businesses.
It's our people.
Let's take care of them, too.
