Thank you Granville Center for the Arts 🧡🎃
It’s inspiring to see how our small but mighty, 100% volunteer-run arts center continues to lift up our community—and beyond! With just volunteers and no paid staff, we’ve built something extraordinary together in only two years: more than 400 free, inclusive events that celebrate creativity, connection, and accessible arts for all!
In a world where it can be hard to meet new people outside of school or a bar, our center has become one of the rare places where multigenerational friendships form naturally, over shared paintbrushes, music, stories, and laughter.
And our impact doesn’t stop at our doors. Through kindness, creativity, and our openness to collaborate, our little center has reached far and wide—helping raise thousands for local mental health programs, to supporting shelters in Ukraine rescuing animals from active war zones.
In every act of giving, every shared smile, and every creative spark, our arts center has become what every neighborhood needs—a beacon of hope, a reminder that when people come together, there’s nothing small about what we can do!
This Sunday, October 12, that same spirit comes to life at our first-ever Pumpkin Fest, a free, family-friendly celebration from 3–6pm on the front lawn of the arts center. There will be live music, crafts, live painting and pumpkin carving demonstrations, a pumpkin carving competition with prizes, vendors, the Prezel Shop truck, and free baby pumpkins to decorate and take home.
But this year’s Pumpkin Fest is supporting more than just Granville. When we learned that our friends at Legend Hills Orchard and Farm Market in Utica lost nearly everything in a devastating fire last month, we knew we had to help.
We invited them to join us, to be uplifted and supported by our wonderful community. They’ll be bringing bins of pumpkins that survived the fire and offering them to guests for a donation of any amount to help rebuild their farm.
So come celebrate with us this Sunday at the Granville Center for the Arts. Bring your family, bring your friends, and let’s remind each other just how much goodness can grow when a community comes together.
