Chicken and Venison Distribution! Second Helpings volunteers and staff were busy this week distributing 7,000 pounds of chicken purchased from Piggly Wiggly Hilton Head Island and 2,800 pounds of venison donated by Long’s Deer Processing. The meats were delivered to local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Ok people, this is the last full weekend of January. If your deer meat has not been picked up by now, I would suggest you come get it this weekend. Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. We are not your storage facility. You should be prepared to get your meat when u kill the deer.. see y'all soon. Thanks!

2025 deer season is Done! We r open Saturdays and Sundays 9am-5pm until the end of January. Then we r done. If u need another day or time, call us at 8036254450 and we will figure it out. All deer must be picked up by January 31st.

For anyone taking a youth hunting Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, please research how to report the youths kill on the scdnr app. Game check. All deer need this confirmation number. Thx.

Beginning January 4th, we will only be open for picking up deer meat on Saturdays and Sundays, 9am-5pm. Or call 8036254450 to arrange another time. ALL deer will need to be picked up by January 31st. If your deer has been here longer than 45 days, it has probably been donated already so call first.
