Its been a really tough year for tomato growers in Central Kentucky. The amount of rain has been brutal. But finally a few are starting to turn and small ones picked. Hoping to can our few batches we need for our household and then sell as supply may come.

Sorry it's nothing like the production of abundant beauties we had last year. 😞

But also cannot control mother nature either.

Next year would any of you who shop Oxbow Meats like an array of peppers for sale? This morning we picked all of these!

Anaheim and Pablano peppers are amazing stuffed and baked. I can share our go to recipe if anyone is interested.
Sweet Banana peppers great fried.
Bell peppers of every color.

We also grow Cayenne, Jalapeños, Serranos, and even speciality super hot peppers.

We begin fermenting our peppers for homemade hot sauce tonight!

Fresh tomato and bell pepper delivery this afternoon to Oxbow Meats ! Grab before they are gone.

Our garden is going through a little bit of a lull before the next amount of tomatoes turn but should be a fresh delivery by Monday with more tomatoes.

For the coming years, besides our heirloom tomatoes, what would you like to be able to purchase from Oxbow Meats from Remy's Run Farm? Please tell us so we can expand !

Come and meet the farmers behind these delicious tomatoes in person at Oxbow Meats this Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 from 11-2pm.

We will have samples of our tomatoes and peppers first hand in dishes as suggestions on how to cook with them in the future too!
