KALE!! Still a SUPERFOOD!! Kale is so good for you! It has powerful antioxidants and packed with fiber. It helps with lowering cholesterol, promotes heart, eye and bone health. It contains calcium.and folate too! It helps boost your immune system...tons of reasons to grab a bunch of kale at market...

Did you know that kale tastes the best in cool.weather and tastes best when sweetened by frost? Many people who think they dont like kale have only tried it in warm weather..

Here is a great kale recipe that's super delicious and all the ingredients but one are found at your farmers market.

Sautée some onion, carrots, red pepper and a hot pepper in a bit of olive oil. Add in chopped garlic when softened. Strip your kale leaves to remove midrib and chop. Add in to veggies. Add 1 qt water and a jar of canned tomatoes and 2 cans chick peas. Simmer until done...about 15-20 min. Serve over rice. Grated cheese optional.

Daffodil Hill Bakery LLC... GOOD MORNING!!!We will be at the Vestal Farmers Market ONLY today! This is our last time there this year (we believe)! We have chicken pot pie small & large, apple pies, peach pies, pumpkin pies, Lg. peach, lg Apple, Lg. Blueberry....Apple Cream Cheese Muffins, Scones, Cookies, Pretzels (regular & cinnamon sugar)! Should be there 9:15am!!!

***Next Saturday is our 9th Year in Business Anniversary Celebration! After the farmers market, take a nice Fall drive over to our bakery for baked goods, Door prize drawing, free cookie & free fresh lemonade!!! We are so excited to see you there!
