It's our annual scavenger hunt day tomorrow at the Victor Farmers' market. Bring the kids down and pick up a sheet of items to locate at the market. They can check off each item as it's found. And when all the items have been checked off, they can return to the shed to collect their prize! All your favorite market vendors will be there as well, so you can check the items off your shopping list while the kids are checking off their scavenger lists! Stop by tomorrow at the Victor market!

Farmers' Market today! 3-6pm 60 East Main Street (by the Village Hall). 🎵🎵 Live music this week from John and Maria! 🎵🎵

Here's what some of the vendors will have for you this week:

Washburns Produce and Poultry will have Pasture raised pork, chicken, and eggs! What produce I can find out there!

Laurie B's Bees will have honey, hot honey, lip balm and (hopefully) a new surprise honey product!

New Vendor Cottage Street Farm will be there with a variety of produce including fresh strawberries!

Farmer's Naturals will be attending with a wide variety of herbal tea blends and soups/marinades & dips.

Portland Pepper Co will have all flavors hot, mild, jalapeno.

Cornell Cooperative Extension is excited to be at the market again this week. Answering farm questions and having some materials about upcoming programs.

New Vendor Jenny Drink-Ups will have Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Dirty Sodas, Popping Boba Pearls and Candy Straws!!

Alan Franke's Nursery will have a variety of potted plants and produce.

Abbie & Gadazel's will be bringing their selection of wine.

Schreiner Company will have variety of potted plants including: P***y willow, jack in pulpit, hostas, trilliums. Also beaded animals.

New Vendor Lucia's Lemonade will be bringing fresh squeezed lemonade!

The Woodland Elf will have few fresh flower bouquets. Also broomcorn gnomes, swags, and beeswax tapers.

Critter Creations will be there with all our cute crochet critters.

New Vendor Julie's Homemade Goods will have several flavors including: Herb, Plain and Rosemary with Roasted Garlic Seasoning and Herb.

The Health Habit will be bringing medicinal teas, flower essences, tinctures and hand-made bookmarks

Wapta Farm will have mixed floral bouquets this week.

SG Angus will have a variety of beef, pork, chicken and sauces!

New Vendor Maloney Farms arrives this week with strawberries and a few mini bouquets!

(Additional vendors will be arriving over the next few weeks as more comes into season.)

Soup mix in a bag, does it get easier than this? Grab some tomorrow at the Victor market! And if you need the chicken, you can find that here too!

We hope you were able to grab some of the season's first strawberries on Wednesday, but if you missed them, don't worry. We'll have them again on Wednesday. You just can't beat the flavor of fresh, locally grown strawberries.

And there are so many things to make with them: strawberry shortcake, strawberry smoothies, strawberry-rhubarb pie, strawberry cobbler, chocolate covered strawberries, or just eat 'em straight! There's no wrong way to enjoy a strawberry 🍓 Stop by the Victor market next Wednesday and pick some up!

And if you are in the mood for a little shortcake with your strawberries, give this recipe a try!
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups strawberries, stems removed and sliced
2⁄3 cup white sugar
2 1⁄3 cups original Bisquick baking mix
1⁄2 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

DIRECTIONS:
In medium bowl, stir together minced strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar; set aside for about 1 hour.

Heat oven to 425°F

In another medium bowl, stir Bisquick® mix, milk, 3 tablespoons sugar, and melted butter until a soft dough forms.

Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls into 6 mounds onto ungreased cookie sheet; dust with sugar.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Split warm shortcakes; fill and top with strawberries and whipped cream

Farmers' Market today! 3-6pm 60 East Main Street (by the Village Hall). 🎵🎵 Live music this week from Joe Carey! 🎵🎵

Here's what some of the vendors will have for you this week:

Yaayah's Kitchen will be there with jollof rice curry rice veggies and chicken

New Vendor Julie’s Homemade Goods will have several varieties of sourdough bread including: Rosemary, Croissant and Hot Honey.

Farmer's Naturals will be attending with a wide variety of herbal tea blends/spices, soups, marinades & dips.

Critter Creations will be there with all our cute crochet critters, in addition to the ponies, the yarn barn doors are open and there will be cute little cows, baby chicks, and an Appaloosa horse named Fiona.
