May is month, and so all this week we are serving at Trace!

If you haven’t tried them, it’s like biting into a cloud. We love the packaging, everything comes in craft boxes or plain brown paper that is easily compostable. Thank you, and .entrepreneur for this intentional extra step.

Thank you, From Here to Home Essentials. It's easy to forget how mindless shopping has become. We're lucky to live where we do. So many of the things we need are here within walking distance, and in shopping small, we can build community, taking care of ourselves and each other.

There’s still time for anyone in the county to enter this competition.

Know a young person passionate about creating a sustainable future? Invite them to enter the Sustain Fairfax Earth Month Youth Art Contest!

Young artists can submit original artworks showing what climate friendly actions they complete and the impacts of those actions.

The contest is open to students in grades 4-12 who live and go to school in Fairfax County.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: submissions are due by May 29, 2026, at 4 p.m.

Winners of the contest will receive a $25 gift card and will have their artwork used by OEEC in future marketing and promotional materials.

Her endorsement of our organic oats was music to my ears. “Delicious and not mushy. My son loved them.”

I’ve been eating this stuff for so long that I didn’t know there was that much of a difference. Her response? “If you ate the supermarket ones you would know immediately!”
