So sad to hear about this decision by a great family-owned small business in my district. For a decade, Maple Avenue Market in Vienna supported local farmers and producers and offered healthy options for families that want organic or naturally grown foods.

I've had the pleasure to know and work with Chris Guerre and Sara Guerre for many years to promote healthy eating for students in our public schools. I wish them the best on their next adventures, and I look forward to stopping by this weekend when I'm back home from Richmond!

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness to announce that we are closing our beloved Maple Avenue Market after nearly 10 years in business.

This Sunday, February 17th will be the last day that we are open.

We still have lots of great local products, freshly prepared foods, gift items, and beer and wine on our shelves to sell and we sincerely hope to see you again before we close our doors.

For the past decade we've been humbled by your patronage, and by your belief in our mission of envisioning solutions to help reinvent our local food system and creating change from "the ground up" in our community.

Growing, cooking, and sharing good food with all of you, and with local public schoolchildren, for so many wonderful years ... will perpetually encourage us to see the world, not for what it is ... but for what it might be ... and for that, we are grateful.
