Now that we've got that sorted — what even is it?

Think of a mince pie's cheeky little cousin: flaky, buttery pastry wrapped around a sweet, spiced filling of plump raisins, currants, and candied orange and lemon peel, all warmed through with cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. It's brushed with egg wash, pressed into sugar, and slashed on top so it bakes up golden, glossy, and just a little bit crackly.

A proper British teatime classic since forever. Now it's yours too.

Pour a pint and tuck into this week's pie special: Steak and Guinness.

Tender steak is slow-braised for hours with veg, garlic, and a proper glug of Guinness Extra Stout, all wrapped up in a rich, glossy gravy that coats the back of a spoon (as any decent gravy should). A pub classic through and through — hot and ready, or grab one frozen to bake later.

These rarely stick around past Friday, so don't dawdle. We're open till dinner, hot pasties and all.

Update: Chicken and Leek is sold out but we have a few Aussie Pies and Steak and Kidney in the freezer to take home.

Some weeks call for from-scratch cooking. This week calls for us. 🥧

No oven to preheat. No washing up a mountain of pots at 9pm. No tired kids whining when dinner is running late. Just proper comfort food, hot and ready, while you get everyone through the back-to-school shuffle in one piece.

Our chicken and leek pie is full of tender chicken, buttery leeks and a rich, creamy filling that tastes as if it simmered on someone's stove all afternoon (it did, just not on yours 😉)

It's homemade, minus the hassle.
