Our Family-Owned History
The "old world" flavor and quality of Mackenthun's homemade sausages began at the turn of the century in a little butcher shop in Plato, Minnesota, owned by August Mackenthun. In 1917, August's son Arthur imported a sausage maker from Germany and opened his own meat market in Waconia which soon built a reputation for the finest quality meats and most delicious sausage anyo

ne ever tasted. In the 1940s and '50s, Arthur's son Marvin added a full line of groceries to their market. Today, Kim and Laurie Mackenthun and their family (4th and 5th generation) operate a full-service supermarket with all the convenience of the big city, but inside the doors, you'll still find the old-fashion pride of a small-town butcher shop. Their award-winning meat department and homemade sausage have won national acclaim and they are dedicated to making every batch of delicious homemade sausage the same as it was in the early 1900s. is to provide customers with an exceptional food experience, while continuing to be involved in our communities and dedicated to the fair and honest treatment of our employees and suppliers. We respect and support each other and work together to meet the needs of our customers and their families with a personal touch. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Dairy Social and helped support Backyard Wishes. From enjoying ice cream with friends and family to making a difference in our community, your support made this event truly special.

Our 18th Annual Charity Golf Event marked a milestone year for giving back.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, we are proud to announce a record donation of $35,000 to local food shelves.

This year's recipients include Gather and Grow Food Shelf & Connection Center, Lonsdale Area Food Shelf, Westonka Community Food Shelf, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, and Southwest Carver County Food Shelf (not pictured).

Every dollar raised will help support local families and neighbors facing food insecurity. What makes this donation so special is that it represents a community coming together with a shared purpose: helping one another.

Coffee meets tropical flavor.

This Mango Espresso Latte combines sweet mango, creamy milk, and rich espresso for a refreshing twist on your daily coffee. Would you try it?

Ingredients:
ice cubes
3 tablespoons mango puree (see note)
3/4c Kemps® 1% milk
2 tablespoons Nestle® media crema (table cream)
1/4c espresso

Directions:
In an 8-ounce glass, fill 3/4 of the way with ice cubes.
Into the glass add in mango puree, Kemps® 1% milk, Nestle® media crema, and espresso.
Stir well and enjoy.
