Welcome to the official page for Econofoods of Wahpeton. Started by a vision from Joe Lueken, Econo has been serving the Wahpeton Breckenridge community since 1986. In 2013, it became an ESOP (employee stock ownership program) store thanks to Joe's generosity and continues to flourish under the plan. With the 2014 a

dditions of the gas station & c-store (Econo Express) and liquor stores (Econo Wine & Spirits and Chucks Off Sale) in 2011, it has now become a one stop shop for customers who can shop the several areas of the store, including bakery, deli, produce, meat, dairy/frozen among the general merchandise and grocery departments. There is also a health food section and a pharmacy (Thrifty White) for customer convenience.

Chandler from our Bemidji North location saw Blake's modeling career taking off and decided to fire back — fully stretched out across the oranges like he's lounging on a yacht, not a grocery shelf. 🍊😎

It's Hatch Chile Week, meat and produce are looking extra good, the bakery's showing off, and there are deals stacked all over grocery, frozen, dairy, and specialty aisles too. Basically — grab a cart and a snack for the road, because this one's worth wandering through slowly.

Because while kids are busy acing spelling tests and mastering the monkey bars, we want to make sure a growling tummy isn't on their homework list — especially on weekends and school breaks when school meals aren't an option.
