Replacing outlets in parents new house.
I have been swapping outlets for modern white outlets. They were all backstabbed, with 2 white, one red, one black. Everything works well, tests “correct” on Klein tester. How do I handle this one?

Does anybody know what this is called? My son bought a house and this is in the master bedroom. Not even really sure what it indicates. But he’s putting all new receptacles and switches in and wants to replace this one as well. I don’t even know where to begin to look.

What should I do with the previous owner of my home
I’m installing a Shelly switch and I opened the light switch to find this.
The ground wire was connected and after some testing it appears the blue wire is actually the live wire and the brown is the switch wire.
How in the hell can someone connect this, if I would’ve started at the other end I would’ve connected ground and would be electrocuted.

There are a few things that scare me about this wiring, but it was done by a professional, so maybe I just don’t know what’s up. Is this dangerous?

Mystery Line
Not an electrician, just trying to decipher what the contractor left me with here.

As far as I can tell it’s:

Power
Fan
6” Lights (Ceiling)
Vanity

If that’s the case, was the intent for to pigtail the “power” lines 3 ways to feed each switch?

Just feels like a whole lot of wire but it’s my first time setting up a box with multiple switches.

Fixed suggestions any other issues?
So I had to splice some wire but obviously didn’t wanna bury it so I bought a junction box I have 14/2 spliced into the new wire, running to my switch because when I removed a small wall, it didn’t reach from what I read 6 inch of the white jacket striped off then 14/2 is joined with marrette then it get clamp by either the in-house bracket or an external and that basically would stop if there was a fire from moving past it

Update to light switch replacement wiring
Currently working. Last step is to add the grounds to each one. Can I just add 3 pig tails to the wire nut the grounds are in?

Can anyone identify the grounding system in this electrical panel? Older house (1960s) with 2-prong outlets
Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out whether my house has an equipment grounding system.

I opened the electrical panel because all of the receptacles in the house are older 2-prong outlets. I'm wondering if the house/panel actually has a grounding system, or if the branch circuits are completely ungrounded.

In the panel, I noticed these twisted silver/bare wires with a white sleeve. Are these ground wires? Thanks
