Great River Co-op Great River Co-op is a startup cooperative food store in the developement stages that will serve the Great Falls Region.

Mission: The Great River Co-op serves as a leading resource for community, environmental, economic, physical and social well-being within the Great Falls region. Vision: It is the vision of the Great River Co-op that all people in the Great Falls region live healthy lives within an environment that provides access to locally-grown and locally–produced foods and strong community-based connections.

Values: Great River Co-op is a member-owned organization that will:
Strive to uphold the Seven Cooperative Principles;
Provide access to local goods and services;
Engage with its member-owners, customers, vendors, and the larger community in ways that are mutually beneficial;
Facilitate an environment that promotes social interactions among members and connections to our farmers and producers;
Serve as a sustainable business model;
Ensure that all of our neighbors have equal access to Great River Co-op benefits.

The Great River Co-op will host the 2025 Thanksgiving Farmers' Market on the Walpole Common on Saturday, November 22 from 9am - 2pm. Vendor fees are $25 and can be paid on the day of the market. Free Local Food Tasters, Short Films & Community Conversations
Sunday, October 26th from 4-6pm
Bellows Falls Opera House Lower Theater

We are gathering folks who are passionate about local foods to have meaningful conversations on how we can expand our local foods network and build new, needed infrastructure, in collaboration.
This 2-hour gathering includes delicious, locally sourced tastings, a few short films by farm-focused film director Graham Meriwether. There will be a handful of community-facilitated listening stations and open-forum discussions where your ideas, visions, concerns & insights as a grower, food producer/maker and community member can be shared.
If you are a farmer, homesteader, food producer, restaurateur, local foods advocate, food security advocate this event is especially for you.

One more day! Try out our new perk for GRC members - the chance to order cases of Mason jars at wholesale prices. Last day to order for this trial run is Tuesday, Oct. 15.

A case of 12 pint jars (16oz) with lids only costs $7.50, and that includes shipping! Normally, these go for about $15-$20.
