🍓 Well, the strawberry patch had other plans this year...
Turns out Mother Nature didn't get the memo about strawberry season. The cool, wet spring just wasn't kind to our berries, and after all Farmer Buck's hard work – dating all the way back to June of last year – we're sad to share that we don't expect another U-Pick this year. Farming has a way of humbling you sometimes. No matter how much hard work, planning and care go into a crop, Mother Nature still gets the final say. Sometimes you do everything in your power and the harvest just says "nope." Trust us, we are just as disappointed as you are. 🌧️
BUT. The strawberry donut patch? Oh, she is THRIVING. Peak production. Zero complaints. Apparently donuts don't mind the rain. 🍩
So we're making the best of it and throwing a Strawberry Donut Day this Sunday, from 2-5 pm! Come soak up some fresh country air, grab a warm strawberry donut (or a dozen or two, we won't judge 😉), and enjoy a fun afternoon on the farm. The playground and games will be open, the store will be stocked with fresh goodies and we're ready to celebrate the sweet things this season has brought us.
To everyone who came out to pick this season – thank you!! During challenging seasons like this, your support means more than you know and helps us continue creating the farm experiences your families have come to love.
