Meet Charles Luvin and Susan Luvin Sullins, who are celebrating their sixth year as vendors at the Warrensburg Farmers' Market as Luvin Legacy Farm.

For Charles and Susan, farming is more than a business. It is a family tradition. Their inspiration comes from their grandfather, Ralph Luvin, who lived on West Gay and later West Mill Street in Warrensburg. His backyards were filled with gardens growing lettuce, radishes, green beans, potatoes, peas, strawberries, and tomatoes. Many longtime residents may even remember Grandpa Ralph selling his fresh produce from the back of his 1964 Ford truck, parked at the corner of West Culton and Holden Streets.

Today, Charles and Susan feel they are carrying on the legacy their grandfather began so many years ago. Just like Grandpa Ralph, they enjoy sharing their harvest with the community and visiting with customers while exchanging gardening tips and stories.

One of their favorite parts of being a vendor is the opportunity to meet new people and build connections each market season.

Their time at the Warrensburg Farmers' Market has come to an end for this season, but be sure watch out for the next year. Luvin Legacy Farm can still be supported outside the Warrensburg Farmers' Market! Support a family tradition that has been rooted in our community for generations!
