Welcome back Beckner's Orchard for their second year at the Warrensburg Farmers' Market! For more than 50 years, Beckner's Orchard has been growing and sharing fresh peaches with families across west central Missouri, and that tradition continues today with the fourth generation of the Beckner family.
The family farm was purchased by Byron Beckner in 1957, and commercial peach production began in 1975. Today, Jared Beckner owns the orchard, with the entire family playing an important role in keeping the operation thriving. From Reagan, Kathy, Levi, Janette, and Landon to Landon's girlfriend, Gigi, and her brother, Alan, it's truly a family effort from the orchard to the farmers market.
For the Beckner family, farming is more than a job. It's a passion for growing high quality produce, connecting with customers, and helping people understand where fresh, local food comes from. While the work requires long days and plenty of patience, seeing returning customers and hearing how much they enjoyed the produce makes it all worthwhile.
This season, Beckner's Orchard is looking forward to welcoming new faces, reconnecting with loyal customers, and continuing its mission of providing some of the best farm fresh produce in west central Missouri.
