Erin and Ben's wedding was the first wedding where one of the flowers I've personally grown was the focal flower, the main course, the headliner... and my goodness, my peonies sure did shine! When Erin saw her bouquet for the first time her face just lit up,my heart was full! All the hard work had paid off! This was one of those weddings where I cried as I wrapped up!
Erin and Ben were the perfect couple for my peonies! Erin loves flowers and all things pretty, and I love flowers and making things pretty! I'm very passionate about my flowers, I'm connected to them, I pour my love into them daily and to share them with a bride and groom on their wedding day is just something that lights me up!
I added peonies to my garden 3 years ago and this year was the first year I was able to produce enough for a wedding! It wasn't easy, the week before her wedding all of my peonies were starting to open up, I did my research and learned how to dry store them. So every morning for the last few weeks, I would go out to the garden, with the sun rising, the birds chirping and nervously cut each stem. I was a wreck for weeks hoping that I had done it right and that they would open perfectly for her wedding day. So when I opened up the peonies from storage, unwrapped them and saw that they had made it, I was in tears(yes I cry a lot over flowers🤣). We had done it! Seeing my peonies, as Erin turned to the camera after saying "I do" to the love of her life, is a feeling I can't really explain. To me, it's so worth all the work! I love flowers, I love love, and I love the life that I'm blessed to live!
Congratulations Erin and Ben, I was honored to share my flowers with you on your
Beautiful day!
