Old City Market and Oven is the newest addition to the bustling NoMa area. Nestled perfectly between local favorite Union Market and the countless bars on the H street Corridor. The market brings in a fresh take on neighborhood general store. You will notice the difference immediately on your first step in on the Brazilian cherry flooring. The huge wood burning oven produces some of the best artisanal pizza's that DC has to offer . In addition to a full menu of pizzas, sandwiches, and oven baked delights,there is a full espresso bar, and one of the areas best selection of reasonably priced wines and craft beers. In addition to the food cooked to order, the market has shelves stocked with groceries, wine, beer, soda, candy, toys, gifts, books, and records. There is something for everyone and at every price point. Downstairs is a record player surrounded by a vinyl collection that spans multiple decades and genres, and all sorts of household items from mugs to pet food, children's toys, gift cards and so much more. Check out the locally produced food products for sale, as well as the art and gift items made by local artisans. And of course check out the items for sale that are produced by the Market itself from Granola to Soap- all packaged up with a sly sense of humor.

A new product has just hit our shelves! 🍦 Our frozen food section is now carrying SHIRIN ICE CREAM ! We met the makers when they did at tasting in the store and we were able to get the scoop, pun intended!

There's a beautiful story behind this brand. The founder, Shirin, recently shared with us that her name actually means “sweet” in Persian, so she was truly destined for this! 💖

After struggling to find authentic Persian ice cream that tasted like her childhood, she decided to make her own. Years of dedication and, as she put it, “plenty of taste-testing!” led to the creation of the exquisite Shirin Ice Cream.

Each pint is a labour of love, and you can now experience this genuine taste of her childhood and culture right from your local market. Stop by our frozen food section and grab a pint today, you have to experience this for yourself!
