If you haven't heard, MENU - Market, Bistrobar, Kitchen is hosting a preview of their ground floor PENN QUARTER MARKET space this Thursday! Finally we'll have some options for buying fresh food and more! Come visit from 3-7pm during FreshFarm Market hours in the former Cafe Atlantico space. Happy New Year fellow members of the Penn Quarter community!

The past year and a half has truly been incredible. The project has garnered much support from the community. I have engaged in numerous food industry events and built wonderful relationships, from colleagues to a wider potential customer base from around the city and relationships with vendors to fill a Bodega with superior local and regional ingredients. Despite all of these successes, I am still looking for the investments necessary to bring this project to fruition. This simply is the nature of starting a business, especially one's first. I will continue to pursue opportunities for investment to make the Bodega a fantastic reality for Penn Quarter, while simultaneously moving into working on other projects. After these longs months, I am eager to be working and also looking forward to bi-monthly deposits to my bank account!

As always, feel free to reach out to me any time to connect, share ideas, or ask questions. I have had a great many coffees and lunches with many of you that have informed the design of the Bodega literally from day one. Every ounce of this work leads to the remaining piece--funding. Connections for investment will be the touchstone of success for building out our neighborhood grocery. The prospectus and business plan are fully developed and available. Please don't hesitate to inquire or forward any interested parties.

I believe that business should be developed in response to the community, succeed with the support of the community, and return its successes back to the community and look forward to maintaining the Bodega's motto of Community Inspired, Community Fueled, Community Focused in this and all future ventures.
