Happy First Week of September!

MOUNTAIN apples, Plums, Pluots, Peaches! Mr Brown’s Oyster mushrooms, Osso Bucco Shanks from Homeplace Pastures, fresh wild-caught salmon fillets, Cajun turkey just sliced! Hi y’all! What’s good this week: PEACHES. Gorgeous local green leaf lettuce. First Mountain apples, $1.79/pound, Ginger Golds. Cucumbers. Yo made Cucumber-Onion Salad and Broccoli Salad. Brittney’s baked applesauce loaves with caramel frosting. Watermelon season is ALMOST over but these Moon and Star’s and Burney’s seedless are sweet!!! Leeks, yukon gold potatoes, homegrown tomatoes, Cure 81 ham just sliced, and we have FRESH Joyce chicken, wild-caught salmon, and Billy Ray’s milk! And a new dessert— Delta Pecan praline bread pudding with Moon Lake’s pecans!

Wednesday! Open for lunch 11am-2pm and our special is The Classic Club Sammy basket: Shaved smoked turkey, Black Forest Ham, and Bacon on toasted white bread with havarti and Tillamook cheddar. Homegrown tomatoes, LOCAL pickling cucumbers, Vidalia onions, Star fruit!, Muscadines, Snap Beans, and more! Fresh salmon fillets on ice, sundried tomato turkey just sliced, Greek Orzo salad with smoked salmon just made, and Banana bread just baked. Come shop!

Wednesday! Open for lunch 11am-2pm and our special is The Big Easy Panini (with Fries & Drink): An especially Italian muffuletta with Fra’Mani rosemary ham, bologna, Genoa salami, chopped olive salad, and havarti on a five-inch sesame bun. DOG DAYS, y’all, but yes we are OPEN Wednesday Aug 12-Saturday Aug 15!

First, an announcement! We are all about the seasons here at the BTC and Catfish Friday will be no different! Our 11am-8pm Catfish Friday season will roll until casserole season kicks off in November, meaning you have THIRTEEN more Fridays to join us! 11am–8pm and we have Catfish as a Platter, a Basket, and a Po’boy. This week’s Platter: Delta-style with spaghetti, Yo’s classic coleslaw, buttery corn.

Wednesday! Open for lunch 11am-2pm and our special is The Farmer’s Plate! Big bowl of Vegetable Beef Soup with hand-breaded fried local eggplant, comeback sauce, roll or cornbread, and a drink. $14.99.

Thursday! Open for lunch 11am-2pm and our special is Pulled Pork! House-made and succulent. Served with mashed potatoes, butterbeans, THAT squash casserole, roll or cornbread, and a drink. $15.99.

Happy back to school week!!! We are rooting for our Blue Devils ALWAYS! And a huge thank you to Chamber of Commerce and everyone who put on one of the most fantastic Watermelon Carnivals of all time. Great Job! We saw so many happy faces last week!

In this week’s news! Sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, local watermelons chopped or whole, and peaches, peaches, peaches! Local blackberries, okra, and fresh wild-caught salmon fillets are here!
