We are a 100% vendor-operated market that runs from the last Saturday in April through the last Saturday in October at 901 Illinois Avenue in Waterloo, Illinois. Come visit for a variety of local items including plants, produce, meat, honey, eggs, flowers, coffee/tea/beverages, crafted items, baked and canned goods, breakfast options, all-natural products, and more.

One of the simplest ways to support both your community and the planet is to shop at your local farmers market. When you buy locally grown food and handmade products, you help reduce food miles - the distance these items travel before hitting the shelves for purchase. All of the vendors at our market travel from within a 50 mile radius of Waterloo, but much of the food and other products in big box stores travels over 1,000 miles from the farm or factory to store! Less transportation means less fuel use, less pollution, and a smaller environmental footprint.

There’s also something really special about knowing where your food and products come from and meeting the people behind them. 💚

Many of our makers are part-time vendors, and they’re always putting their creativity to good use, bringing new items every time they visit. So, no two market days are ever quite the same and there’s always something new and exciting waiting for you! We ❤️ when Ahna Schoenhoff plays at the market! They create such an amazing vibe that warmly welcomes visitors to the market, and it’s impossible not to sing and dance along to the incredible variety of songs Ahna plays 💃🕺
